Special Feature
- Service friendly
"No-Drip" Tomlinson faucets, color coded for hot, room
temperature and cold water. Hot faucets is Tomlinson Touch-Guard, to
guard against inadvertent dispensing of hot water.
- Extra quiet operation due to
air-cushioned compressor and rubber feet.
- State-of-the-art design; all
plastic internal frame; individually removable textured plastic front
and side panels.
- Integrated front and rear
handles for convenient carrying.
- Extra large dispensing area
to accommodate containers of various sizes and shapes.
- Larger vessels fill in half
the time when room temp and cold faucets are depressed at the same time.
Refrigeration System and Hot Tank:
Maintenance free sealed
compressor system using R134 refrigerant, 1/15 hp with overload protector;
oversized condenser improves chilling efficiency. Adjustable cold control
regulates water temperature. Stainless steel hot tank with Styrofoam
insulation keeps energy consumption low; 750 Watts immersion heater; ON/OFF
switch; thermostat with overheating protection device. Separate drain lines
for hot and cold tanks.
Filtration System - How it works?
The Mountain Crest water cooler
sources water from standard household or office water lines and filters it
in the internal treatment system. The 1/4" poly-tubing connects to a
copper pipe via a quality saddle valve (externally supplied). Other
connection methods are acceptable if local plumbing codes are met.
Water feeds from the water supply
line to a ball shut-off valve in the back of the cooler, to the filtration
system and thereafter into the reservoir. Water is processed in a 2-stage
filtration. The first filters out sediments and contaminants to a particle
size of 1 micron, plus eliminates lead concentration, as specified. Stage 2
eliminates all contaminants greater than 0.5 microns and effectively filters
out e-coli bacteria, as specified.
A float valve automatically controls
the water level inside the reservoir. As the water level sinks to to
consumption, the valve's float body lowers and opens the valve to fill the
reservoir. The valve closes and stops the water flow at a pre-determined
water level.
Filter specification: One
micron carbon block filter with lead removal for 2,000 gallons plus one 0.5
micron ceramic filter capable of effectively removing micro-organisms,
including e-coli bacteria. This filtration is designed to perform per this
specification ( recommended change of filters: 2,000 gallons or 1 year
whichever comes first):
- LEAD reduction to below the 15ppb
guidelines established by NSF and EPA.
- Chlorine reduction: meets NSF
class 1 standard.
- Turbidity reduction: meets NSF
class 2 standard.
- Reduction of 1-2 micron particles:
99.6%.
- Cyst reduction: Giardia,
Crytospordium, Coliform bacteria.
Electrical Specifications:
115 Volts, 60Hz, Max load amps: 0.8; 6ft. long 3-wire power cord with
polarized plug. 220-240 Volts 50Hz also Available.
Dimension: ( W x D x H):
12" x 12.5" x 38 1/2
Shipping weight: 41 lbs (17
kg)
Optional Features
Water Meter: Three
LED's embedded in the front panel show the remaining filter life. The green
LED signals user "filtration system is OK." A yellow blinking
light, at 1,800 gallons, signals "schedule filter service", and a
red light, at 2,000 gallons, signals "service filters".
Leak Detector: This device detects water on the cooler base plate. If
detection is positive, water supply to the cooler switches off instantly.
